So a couple days ago I wrote about Amanda Todd's suicide. What is really bothering me now is that people are saying things like "she deserved it" and "suicide is for cowards" and making fun of her, even when she's ALREADY DEAD.
Sure, we only know things from her point of view. Yes, she could have done other things we don't know about, but you know what? That doesn't matter anymore.
Think about it. She made a mistake. Hell, she could have made a boatload of mistakes. That doesn't give anyone the right to pursue her after she moved schools and tried to put things behind her.
As a high school student, I know how fast rumors spread.
And regarding the idea that "suicide is for cowards". Really? Have you ever been suicidal? Suicide is a thought that happens when one can't stand living anymore, for whatever reason. Depression. Being bullied. Abuse. Anything.
Suicide is when someone feels like nothing in the world is worth living for.
When your mind is so tormented that you can't see any ray of light.
You think "If I could just end this. If I could escape, things would be better. I could start over again."
No one deserves to be judged. No matter what they do. People are people.
Now, people may think that I'm "jumping on the bandwagon" which is not true. Suicide is a topic that is very important for me.
Rant over.
